Late last month, AMD unveiled its new Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs that are based on the RDNA 2 architecture. Many have been anticipating the new cards, so it's good that two of the models - the RX 6800 XT and RX 6800 - have become available in certain regions starting today.

The Radeon RX 6800 XT and RX 6800 are probably the cards that many will be interested in, as opposed to the RX 6900. They're both more affordable but are still capable of enabling 4K gaming for the latest PC games. While we're not sure when the new GPUs will be available in Malaysia, we do know that the RX 6800 XT is priced at USD 649 (~RM2659) and the RX 6800 at USD 549 (~RM2372). Some local retailers have claimed that the price could be higher, but we're taking that rumour with a grain of salt.

In terms of specs, the RX 6800 XT has a clock speed of up to 2250MHz, while the RX 6800's clock speed goes up to 2105MHz. Both cards have 16GB of VRAM and memory bandwidth of up to 512GB/s. But it's not just clock speed that sets the two cards apart. The RX 6800 XT also has more Compute Units, Ray Accelerators (handles ray-tracing), stream processors, and more. Of course, it also means that higher power consumption (300W vs 250W).

With how powerful the new AMD Ryzen CPUs and Radeon GPUs are, PC gaming is going to be exciting for an exciting time for AMD fans. Having said that, would you be getting one of these new GPUs? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates on this.
