AMD has officially introduced its latest lineup of processors, graphics cards and AI-enabled laptops during its COMPUTEX 2025 keynote held on 21 May 2025. The announcements include the Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU for gamers, Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 WX-Series CPUs for workstations and the Radeon AI PRO R9700 for AI workloads.
In addition, the ASUS Expert P Series laptops powered by AMD Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series processors were also announced as well. No exact Malaysian release dates and pricing details just yet but they are expected to be revealed soon.
Radeon RX 9060 XT – High-Performance Graphics for Gamers
The Radeon RX 9060 XT features AMD’s latest RDNA 4 architecture and supports up to 16GB of GDDR6 memory. It doubles the raytracing capabilities compared to the previous generation, and includes support for FP8 precision and structured sparsity, allowing more efficient rendering and AI-assisted graphics.
Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 Series – Zen 5 CPUs for Workstations
AMD’s new Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX comes with 96 cores and is targeted at enterprise users handling design, engineering, and AI training workloads. The enthusiast-focused Ryzen Threadripper 9980X offers 64 cores for those building high-performance desktops in Malaysia.
Radeon AI PRO R9700 – On-Device AI for Professionals
The Radeon AI PRO R9700 is engineered for AI-enabled desktops and workstations. It features second-generation AI acceleration technology, 32GB VRAM and support for PCIe Gen 5. The card supports AMD ROCm on Linux for local model training and creative workflows, with Windows support on the way.
ASUS Expert P Series – AI-Powered Business Laptops
In partnership with ASUS, AMD also unveiled new enterprise laptops featuring AMD Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series processors. These laptops deliver over 50 TOPS of AI performance, enabling smooth Microsoft Copilot+ experiences, productivity tools, and built-in enterprise-grade security.
