AMD announces new Ryzen Z2, 9950X3D and 9000HX series at CES 2025 for gaming handheld PCs, desktops and laptops

AMD has announced its latest lineup of gaming products at CES 2025 which includes the Ryzen Z2 series for handheld gaming PCs, the AMD Ryzen™ 9950X3D processor for gaming desktops and the Ryzen 9000HX mobile series for laptops. Release dates start in Q1 2025 and are expected to arrive in laptops from brands such as Acer, ASUS and Lenovo.

Tech specs for the Ryzen Z2 Series includes up to 8 cores and RDNA 3.5 graphics for handheld gaming systems and will consist of the Z2 Extreme, Z2 and Z2 Go. The Ryzen 9950X3D and 9900X3D on the other hand boasts 16 cores with AMD 3D V-Cache™ technology and up to 5.7 GHz boost clocks with 144 MB total cache. 

The Ryzen 9000HX Series consisting of the AMD Ryzen™ 9 9955HX3D, Ryzen™ 9 9955HX and Ryzen™ 9 9850HX are designed for gaming laptops. They feature advanced DDR5 support and low-power high-performance cores with availability expected in H1 2025.
