Tech geeks rejoice, AMD released its latest batch of Siena EPYC processors. With this release, it completes the 4th Gen AMD EPYC family. That said what should you know about this processor?

For your information, the new processors feature the “Zen 4c” core in its purpose-built CPU. It will also enable the device to be energy efficient. Plus, with the new core and SP6 socket, the new processor can provide up to 2x better performance per system watt advantage compared to its competition.

In addition, the EPYC 8004 offers a balanced performance for your working needs. It can deliver the efficient energy needed for video editing, gaming, and so forth. Video-encoding-wise, it provides up to 1.16x the per-core performance against its competition, at lower power use.

Moreover, it can also optimise savings for intelligent edge deployment. This feature focuses on the smaller nodes of servers, rather than full racks as expected within a data center. It can also help you save thousands of dollars in energy costs with better core density and more output.

But it does not end there, several OEMs and partners could benefit from the EPYC 8004 processor. That includes the Dell PowerEdge C6615 server from Dell Technologies, Lenovo ThinkEdge SE455 V3 from Lenovo and new edge platforms from Supermicro.
