AMD held its first-ever keynote at Computex 2019 with next-gen computer components

Besides ASUS, many other brands are showing up in Computex 2019 to show what they got and AMD is one of the recognizable brands there, holding their first-ever keynote with AMD President and CEO Dr Lisa Su. On the first day, they have announced new 7nm-based computing and graphics products for PC gamers and content creators.

Starting with the AMD Desktop updates, the 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen desktop processor is the world's "advanced" desktop processor in the world as it features the said Zen 2 core architecture with an AMD X570 chipset for socket AM, PCIe 4.0 ready (42% faster storage performance) a new category of Ryzen 9 desktop processor with the flagship 12 core/24 thread Ryzen 9 3900X. In other words, these are really strong stuff and will be available in the West on 7 July 2019 onwards.

On the other hand, they also unveiled the RDNA for the next generation of PC gaming, console and cloud. It is projected to provide up to 1.25X higher performance-per-clock and up to 1.5X higher performance-per-watt over GCN, this will enable better gaming performance at lower power and reduced latency. One of the products is the AMD Radeon RX 5700-series graphics cards and are expected to be available in July 2019.

We are extremely excited to kick-off Computex 2019 together with our industry partners as we prepare to bring our next generation of Ryzen desktop and EPYC server processors and Radeon RX gaming graphics cards to market.”
