ASUS Malaysia has just announced their new super thin ASUS Transformer Book Chi range of tablets for Malaysia. Coming with three models, namely the ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi, ASUS Transformer Book T100 Chi and ASUS Transformer Book T90 Chi the new tablet hybrid notebook computers are powered by Intel Core M and Bay Trail processors. Unfortunately, only the Transformer Book T300 and Transformer Book T100 will be made available for Malaysia. The fan-less design allows for a slimmer and thinner profile resulting in a more lightweight tablet and notebook computer hybrid while the all-aluminum one-piece design gives the devices a premium look and feel. For now, only the ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi is available at RM3199 but the T100 Chi is expected to arrive in April or May for a yet undisclosed amount. In related news, the ASUS ZenBook UX305 was also released at RM2999. Featuring an Intel Core M processor and the same fanless ultra-thin design both it and the Chi are now thinner (and more affordable) devices than the recent Apple MacBook. The "Money" Shot
According to ASUS Malaysia the ASUS Transformer Book Chi T300 and ASUS ZenBook UX305 priced today respectively at RM3199 and RM2999 will not be affected by GST when it comes into effect on 1 April 2015. Instead, the current pricing will be fixed at this amount but we have no information yet whether this also covers devices that have still undisclosed pricing like the ASUS Transformer Book Chi T100.
