ASUS ROG Rapture GT6 Mesh WiFi System release: Tri-band WiFi 6, 10,000Mbps bandwidth and 5,800 square feet coverage

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the release of the ASUS ROG Rapture GT6, its first-ever mesh WiFI system optimised for gamers. Featuring a tri-band WiFI 6 gaming mesh system with a dedicated high-performance backhaul, the product will be available in North America starting Q4 of 2022 with the price yet to be revealed. 

According to ASUS ROG’s official website, the mesh WiFi system also features a dedicated high-performance backhaul and 160Mhz channels that provide ultrafast speeds of up to 10,000Mbps. Moreover, the system has a rather unique design with all its antennas placed internally for cleaner and futuristic aesthetics.

In fact, the Rapture GT6 is built with premium form and function in mind. Naturally, there’s RGB on the ROG logo called the “Aura RGB logo”, slashed vents and the ROG tagline For Those Who Dare etched into one side. On the top and bottom, ventilation grills are aligned with the heatsinks for ideal convective effects and heat dissipation. 

Furthermore, it has nine internal antennas that utilise ASUS RangeBoost Plus technology to provide coverage of up to 5800 square feet. Besides that, ASUS ROG put emphasis on wired connections too, whereby users can enjoy up to 2.5 times faster wired connectivity with a 2.5GGbps WAN port and LAN aggregation.

Other notable specs include Dead-zone elimination, Triple-Level Game Acceleration which optimises game traffic from your device to the game server and Comprehensive Network Security. The latter includes free lifetime subscriptions to AiProtection by Trend Micro as well as ASUS Instant Guard. It comes in either black or a special Moonlight White edition and comes in a two-pack mesh system.
