ASUS ROG has launched multiple new products tonight. One of them appears to be the new ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition gaming laptop, bringing up-to-date hardware alongside cutting-edge cooling solutions. Now, let's continue reading to know more about the other tech specs and features!

The SCAR 17 SE sports a 17.3-inch display with either FHD 360 Hz or QHD 240 Hz panel. You'll get a 3 ms response time with crystal-clear motion clarity, no matter which resolution you choose. Under the hood, it packs a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12950HX processor with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU GDDR6 16 GB Max TGP 175 W. The tech specs mentioned do sound like they might warm up the machine. Fret not, as the gaming laptop houses a custom vapour chamber paired with ROG's exclusive Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal applied to both the CPU and GPU. The ports on the SCAR 17 SE include 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery, 1 x USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 4, 1 x RJ-45 (LAN 2.5 Gbps), 1 x HDMI 2.1 1 x 3.5 mm combo audio jack and 1 x DC-in. For the audio compartment, it brings four speakers, with support for Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and Two-Way AI Noise Cancelation.

Furthermore, the SCAR 17 SE's design is a pretty cool one. It features invisible ink applied directly to its metal chassis that can only be spotted with a UV flashlight or LED blue light. The ink appears in green and blue and has a hidden message that offers in-game hints for SCAR Runner, an ASUS-developed parkour game.
