Today, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) is excited to announce a new gaming laptop that is now in Malaysia. The Zephyrus M16 will start from a hefty RM8999 price tag, but should you get one then you can get 2 Years Global Warranty (with a 1-Year Perfect Warranty). Anyway, let's get to the details below.
As the name suggests, the Zephyrus M16 features a big 16-inch screen panel that supports WQHD resolution, up to 165Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time and Adaptive-Sync. The display's aspect ratio is 16:10 which is slightly bigger than your typical laptop's standard measurements. Not only that but the DC1-P3 colour gamut is 100% and it's Pantone-validated.
For the internal tech specs, the Zephyrus M16 packs up to 11th Gen Intel Core i9-11900H processors (clocking up to 4.9GHz), up to a GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, up to 48GB of DDR4-3200Hz RAM and a 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. The gaming laptop may be slim but a ROG Intelligent Cooling is keeping it cool by reducing CPU temperatures up to 10°C. This allows the RTX 3070 Laptop GPU to clock up to 1390MHz at 80W together with ROG Boost. Dynamic Boost diverts an extra 20W of power when CPU loads are lighter, unlocking even more performance.
For the 90Wh battery, it offers up to 10 hours of video playback, with fast charging technology allowing it to replenish to 50% in only 30 minutes through Type-C. You can find Thunderbolt 4 ports that can support two 4K displays at 60Hz or a single 8K monitor, as well as a pair of Type-A USB ports. WiFi 6 and microSD card reader are available too.
Like most ROG laptops, multiple modes are available in different situations such as Silent Mode, Performance Mode and Turbo Mode. Users can also switch between operating modes manually with a quick keyboard shortcut or automatically with Scenario Profiles via the ROG Armoury Crate utility.
