ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) returns with not one, but two new gaming displays – the Swift PG279Q and Swift PG27AQ with 27-inch IPS panels for wide 178-degree viewing angles with 2K/WQHD (2560 x 1440 resolution) and 4K/UHD (3840 x 2160 resolution) respectively. Both monitors are available for pre-order in their Facebook channel now (ending on 28 April 2016), with the PG279Q priced at RM4049; and RM4219 for the PG27AQ.
Both displays feature NVIDIA G-SYNC technology which minimizes screen tearing, stuttering and input lag, and has Ultra-Low Blue Light and Flicker Free technologies to protect the gamer's eyes in long term gaming session. In addition, they both deliver 77% more greater image detail than your regular Full HD displays, along with features such as ASUS exclusive GamePlus hotkey that gives gamers crosshair overlays, timer functions, and frames per second counter. ASUS exclusive GameVisual, on the other hand, also gives the game six preset display modes which are Scenery, Racing, Cinema, RTS/RPG, FPS, and sRGB) to suit different game genres.

Moving on to the display tech-specs corner, the PG27AQ can produce 1.07 billion display colors (10-bit) and covers the full sRGB gamut. It delivers sharp 4K/UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution images and crisp text. With a pixel density of 163ppi, it provides users with unmatched levels of detail. It features four times the onscreen desktop space of Full HD and delivers crisp and sharp gaming visuals.

And the PG279Q is the world’s first display with a 165Hz refresh rate to reduce lag and motion blur, giving gamers the upper hand in fast-paced first-person-shooters, racing, real-time strategy, and sports games. Gamers can select between 60, 120, and 144Hz refresh rates on the fly with the help of the Turbo Key, and fully experience the display’s 165Hz refresh rate if they’re using a NVIDIA® GeForce GTX™ 960 or higher graphics processor.
