ASUS ROG has announced the Strix SCAR II and Strix Hero II gaming laptops

ASUS ROG has announced the release of the the ROG Strix SCAR II and ROG Strix Hero II as part of their new ROG Laptop lineup. These laptops have several key features such as a 144Hz IPS-Panel monitor with 3ms GTG response time, HyperCool Pro technology which aids the cooling of the CPU and GPU, HyperStrike Pro keyboard as well as ROG RangeBoost which provides 30% wider Wi-Fi range compared to dual-antenna setup.

In terms of tech specs, the ROG Strix SCAR II, focused heavily on First Person Shooters is fitted with an 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8750H Processor, 15.6-inch full HD display with a 144hz refresh rate, up to Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB VRAM, 16GB DDR4 RAM clocked at 2666MHz, M.2 NVMe 256GB SSD and 2.5-inch 1TB SSHD. As for ROG Strix Hero II, which is more focused on Multiplayer Online Battle Arena games, is running on the same 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8750H, 15.6-inch Full HD 144hz display, Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 with 6GB VRAM, 8GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 2666MHz, M.2 NVMe 256GB SSD and lastly a 2.5-inch 1TB SSHD.
