Besides the ROG Strix G16 (2025), ASUS Malaysia also announced three laptops for its TUF Gaming series - TUF Gaming A16, TUF Gaming F16, and TUF Gaming V16. The TUF Gaming series offers gaming laptops that are relatively more affordable yet deliver good performance. Below are the details for the three laptops.
TUF Gaming A16
The TUF Gaming A16 is the first of the three, offering the variants with different performance levels. One offers an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, which would provide better gaming performance. It also has a 1TB SSD and a 16-inch QHD+ display with a 165Hz refresh rate.
The other variant sports a more modest AMD Ryzen 7 260 processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 GPU. While it can't quite play games in 1440p Ultra, it should reliably run AAA in 1080p at High graphics settings. Other differences include the FHD+ display and 512GB SSD. Both have the 2nd Gen Arc Flow Fans, which deliver increased airflow at lower power consumption.
TUF Gaming F16
Moving on, the TUF Gaming F16 (2025) comes in three variants with Intel processors. Two of them are equipped with an Intel Core i5-13450HX, a 512GB SSD, and the option for a GeForce RTX 5050 or GeForce RTX 5060 GPU. The third variant houses an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor, GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, and a 1TB SSD.
Appearance-wise, the TUF Gaming F16 is similar to the A16. They're of the same size, so it's no surprise to see the same 16-inch IPS display with a 165Hz refresh rate. By the way, both the TUF Gaming A16 and F16 feature 90Wh batteries.
TUF Gaming V16
Lastly, we have the TUF Gaming V16 (2025). This model features a lighter and slimmer body, making it more suited for portability than its other counterparts. To ensure the machine isn't a furnace when running games, it sports the Intel Core 5 Processor 210H for lower power consumption. For the GPU, customers have the option of the last-gen GeForce RTX 4050, GeForce RTX 5050, or GeForce RTX 5060 GPU.
Aside from the CPU and GPU, the specs for the three variants are identical. All three variants have 16GB of DDR5 RAM, a 512GB SSD, a 16-inch WUXGA display (144Hz refresh rate), and a 63Whr battery.
