Yesterday, ASUS confirmed that the Vivobook S 15 laptop and ASUS ProArt PZ13 tablet would be coming to Malaysia. But it looks like the company has more up its sleeve. The company also confirmed two more laptops for the Vivobook S series at IFA 2024.
ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED
The larger 16-inch model for this year's Vivobook S series, the Vivobook S 16 OLED packs an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 CPU. Weird naming conventions aside, this CPU is intended for AI workloads. According to ASUS, it has a 50 TOPS NPU to "unlock next-level productivity". The laptop's Copilot+ packs features like Windows Studio Effects, Live Captions, and Cocreator to help with content creation.

The Vivobook S 16 OLED also has a 16-inch ASUS Lumina OLED display, which promises incredible visual quality. It has a max resolution of 3200x2000, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 600nits of brightness. It's also certified DisplayHDR True Black 600, so visuals would look good in movies and games.
Speaking of games, the Vivobook S 16 OLED has built-in AMD Radeon 880M graphics and 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM (7500MHz). In other words, you could play not-so-demanding games like Dota 2 or Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The 512GB SSD allows you to install some games without issue unless they're games that take up a lot of space.
ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED

As for the Vivobook S 14 OLED, it's virtually identical to the S 16 OLED. It has the same AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 CPU, 24GB LPDDR5X RAM, and AMD Radeon 880M graphics. Of course, the screen is a smaller 14-inch version of the ASUS Lumina OLED display. Besides that, the only difference is the lower max resolution of 2880x1800, as well as minor aspects like the weight and dimensions.
ASUS has confirmed that both models are now available here in Cool Silver. The Vivobook S 14 OLED is priced at RM5299, while the Vivobook S 16 OLED retails for RM5499. If you'd like to know more, check the ASUS Malaysia website for more details.
