ASUS ZenFone 7 live images leaked, confirms triple-rear camera module

With ASUS set to launch the ZenFone 7 series on 26 August, more leaks of the phone are coming in hot. That's why it's not all that surprising that some insiders may have gotten their hands on the phone already. One of them was nice enough to leak some live shots of the phone too.

Live pictures of the ZenFone 7 appeared on Weibo yesterday, revealing the back of the phone and the charger that comes with it. As you can see, it does have a triple-rear camera setup, with the main camera that's expected to be a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor. What's clearly missing, compared to last year's ZenFone 6, is the back fingerprint sensor. ASUS has either decided to side-mount it or place it under the display.

Besides that, the phone should have a Snapdragon 865 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. It should also have a large 5000mAh battery and a 6.4-inch display with 60Hz refresh rate. All things considered, the flip camera and the notch-less display would probably be the selling points for this phone.

Since there are already so many Snapdragon 865-powered flagships in 2020, how well the ZenFone 7 will be received will depend on the software and pricing. But what do you think of it so far?
