Most brands don't care for smaller phones anymore, but it seems that some brands are still willing to experiment. In fact, there's a new rumour claiming that ASUS will unveil a new ZenFone smartphone that's less than 6 inches.

According to XDA Developers, references to a flagship device codenamed "SAKE" was found recently. This device is allegedly the ASUS ZenFone 8 Mini, which will sport a 5.9-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It's also expected to feature the Snapdragon 888 chipset, as well as a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary camera.

Besides that, a device with the codename "PICASSO" was also found. This one is supposed to have an average OLED display size of 6.67-inch and a 24MP front camera. It's also expected to come with a 64MP, 12.2MP, and 8MP camera. However, ASUS could also return to the flip camera concept. If that's the case, we could expect these to be a quad-camera setup in that flip mechanism.

Of course, we can only speculate, for now, so do take the news with a grain of salt. Having said that, would you be interested in a smaller ASUS ZenFone device? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates about it.
