Just a few hours ago, ASUS unveiled the ZenFone 9 unexpectedly and seems to cater to users who like small smartphones. So what does it have? And is it coming to Malaysia? Read on below to find out.
For starters, we say that the ZenFone 9 caters to small smartphone users because of its size. The AMOLED display is just 5.9-inches which is slightly bigger than the iPhone 13 mini at just 5.4-inches. Nowadays, most newer phones are easily over 6-inches so it's nice to see small phones around. Moreover, the ZenFone 9 features a 120Hz refresh rate too.
In addition, you can also find the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which comes in a few memory configurations (more on that later). Due to its small size, the battery pack is just at a respectable 4300mAh and supports a 30W HyperCharge technology. It also sports two rather large rear cameras - a 50MP (main) + 12MP (ultrawide), whereas the front camera is 12MP.
Other notable features include a WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, aptX and NFC connectivity. Finally, it also runs on ZenUI 9 based on Android 12 out of the box. For the pricing, it starts from $699 (~RM3110) or 799 Euros (~RM3626) presumably for the 6GB + 128GB variant. There is also an 8GB and 16GB of RAM + 256GB but no price was mentioned for that.
It's unknown if ASUS plans to export the ZenFone 9 globally and especially to the Malaysian market. Would you want one if given the chance? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
