With Tanga technologies intact, it sports Tango motion tracking, depth perception and area learning. This allows the use to have a unique AR experience such as AR gaming, utilities and even indoor navigation. As for Daydream, that will be the VR apps to let users explore new worlds in the comfort of their home.

Another highlight is the ASUS TriCam system, it comprises a 23MP PixelMaster 3.0 main camera, a motion-tracking camera and a depth sensing camera to support Tango. The depth-sensing camera lets the phone determine its distance from objects by projecting an infrared (IR) laser, measuring the amount of time it takes for IR light to bounce off objects and return to the phone.
