As advertised, ASUS announced a brand new Zenfone 12 Ultra. Although it is a global launch, the phone does not seem to be available in the Malaysian market. Nonetheless, here is the breakdown of the tech specs.
Running on Android 15 out of the box, the Zenfone 12 Ultra features a Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile chipset as expected. It comes in a couple of memory configurations which are 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. At the camera corner, the Zenfone 12 Ultra sports a 50MP (main with OIS) + 13MP (ultrawide) + 32MP (telephoto with 3x optical zoom) triple rear camera module.
The front camera is 32MP and is hanging out on the top centre of the display. As an ultra version, the AMOLED LTPO display measures 6.78 inches with FHD+ resolution, up to 144Hz refresh rate (for gaming), Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and 2,500 nits peak brightness. The Zenfone 12 Ultra is also capable of recording up to 8K UHD resolution in 30 FPS.
Last but not least, the phone also has a 5,500mAh battery pack with 65W HyperCharge and 15W wireless charging. Other notable features include WiFi 7 and NFC connectivity, Bluetooth 5.4, a 3.5mm audio jack port, eSIM support and many, many AI functions for photography and tools.
As mentioned earlier, the Zenfone 12 Ultra is globally launched but only in Europe (except the UK), Taiwan and Hong Kong. The starting price is from €1,100 (~RM5K) but early birds can get the phone at €100 less. ASUS is also planning to launch it in Japan.
