It seems that ASUS recently posted a tweet on their official Twitter account hinting that the upcoming ASUS Zenfone 8 series smartphones could come equipped with IP68 water and dust resistance. With that being said, it is highly likely that ASUS could ditch the flipping camera mechanism that was initially seen in the Zenfone 7 series that was released last year.
Other than that, the device is expected to come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset as well as a front-facing selfie camera fitted inside a hole-punch notch towards the front of the display. We’ll find out more information regarding the Zenfone 8 series during the launch that’s happening on 12 May 2021.
