Recently, there are companies developing their own chipsets to overcome the global shortage of chipset but Qualcomm is putting up something new with ASUS. Qualcomm and ASUS have teamed up to create a new smartphone named Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders.

No doubt, that is the name for the new smartphone. According to the ASUS, it will be equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED 2440 X 1080 resolution Gorilla Glass Victus AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate that is also certified for HDR10 and HDR10+. Powered by the Snapdragon 888 5G chipset and Qualcomm Andreno 660 GPU coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. I guess performance is not going to be an isssue here.

In terms of cameras, it sports a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera sensor, 12MP ultrawide angle camera and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom while on the front, it comes with a 24MP selfie snapper. It comes with an AI Auto Zoom camera feature and up to 8K 30fps But for the battery, it only comes with a 4000mAh battery with a 65W quick charge 5.0 charging as wellas a dual front facing speakers with the first smartphone to support Snapdragon Sound Technology.

With that said, the Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders will be officially available in this coming August with the price tag of USD1,499 (~RM6279), but there's no official release date for Malaysia yet, so stay tuned for more tech news updates on TechNave.com
