ASUS recently announced their new Transformer Book V, which at first seems like a normal tablet + keyboard convertible, but upon a closer at the back, also comes with a 5-inch smartphone. The device works in all modes, either as a notebook computer, tablet or smartphone. While the smartphone does dock into the back of the tablet, both devices are separate. In notebook computer mode, the system offers an Intel Core processor and 1TB of storage to complement the 12.5-inch display. While each device can be stand-alone, they can be synced to share data, allowing you to pick and choose the form factor you want for the device you need.

In tablet mode, the 12.5-inch display detaches and offers 128GB worth of storage. You can switch between Windows 8.1 or Android 4.4 with the phone attached. However, when you take off the smartphone, the smartphone is a purely Android 4.4 device with tech specs that include a 5-inch display, quad-core Intel Atom processor and 4G LTE connectivity. In essence, you have three separate systems with the Transformer Book V and while other features still have not been revealed, it looks to be a very premiumly priced product. No news on Malaysia release dates either, but stay tuned and we'll find out.
