The official launch of the AMD Radeon 5600 XT is coming soon but AMD partners are itching to show off already. ASUS has recently unveiled the ASUS TUF Gaming X3 Radeon RX 5600 XT EVO and ROG Strix Radeon RX 5600 XT, with both cards expected to launch on 21 January 2020.

Starting with the Radeon RX 5600 XT EVO, this GPU comes with 6GB of VRAM and only requires one 8-pin connector for power. It's supposed to come with a base clock speed of 1620 MHz and a boost clock of 1640 MHz. That's not much and since it's only powered by one 8-pin connector, don't expect it to be good at overclocking either.

However, it should be a pretty quiet card that gets plenty of cooling thanks to its three axial-tech fans. ASUS even boasts that it will let you enjoy light gaming in relative silence. Besides that, you can expect this to be a more affordable option compared to the next one.

Next one being the ROG Strix Radeon RX 5600 XT, the variant that's supposed to provide greater performance. Although it has the same amount of VRAM and uses the same base and boost clock speeds, you can connect one 8-pin and another 6-pin PCIe connector to it, which means you should be able to feed it more power to gain higher overclocks.

As for the cooling, it's using the same triple axial-tech fans and heatsink. It's likely able to support the additional heat from overclocking the card, but it's reasonable to expect the thermal performance to be different. Other than that, this model comes with a dual BIOS switch so that you can swap between different BIOS setting profiles, once you've set it up, without having to enter the BIOS.

ASUS has yet to announce the two GPUs price yet, though we believe it'll be launched in Malaysia soon enough. Would you consider upgrading your graphics card to this when it drops here? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for other news.
