It may be strange to read this news, but according to industry reporting, ASUS officially communicated with Taiwanese mobile distributors that it will not introduce any new smartphone models in 2026. Local retailers told Digitimes Asia that ASUS handset supply through official channels was drying up and that the company’s smartphone division would effectively operate only through 31 December 2025 before halting new product releases.

After-Sales Support and Existing Operations to Continue

ASUS responded by clarifying that while it currently has no plans to launch new phones this year, it does not intend to completely exit the mobile market. Despite the lack of new models, ASUS reassured partners and customers that after-sales support will continue uninterrupted.

The company confirmed that ongoing maintenance, software updates, and warranty services for all existing ASUS smartphone users will be upheld, and that its mobile business will maintain its current operational structure to protect user rights and interests.

Future of ASUS Mobile Remains Uncertain

Industry watchers see the 2026 pause as a reflective moment for ASUS’s smartphone ambitions. The move is not being characterised as a full exit from the market, but the lack of new product launches raises questions about the long-term viability of its mobile division amid intense competition.

Whether ASUS will resume phone releases in 2027 or further shift focus to other tech segments remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
