ASUS could be making new gaming smartphone series with Qualcomm Snapdragon branding

We all know that ASUS has only one gaming smartphone series and it's the ROG Phone. However, the latest source has arrived by pointing out that the company could be in preparation for another gaming series with Qualcomm Snapdragon branding. The device was spotted on the TENNA listing with a few images and tech specs.

According to one of the images, the rumoured device with model number ASUS_I007D comes with a Snapdragon logo on the rear with an ASUS logo below it. There's also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner alongside a triple-camera setup that includes 64MP and 12MP sensors. The listing revealed that the device is going to be powered by Snapdragon 888 and sports a 6.78-inch OLED display.

Besides that, the device is suggested to bring a 3,840mAh battery as well. It will also run Android 11 and offer 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It is worth mentioning that the device is codenamed VODKA and it was recently spotted in the kernel source code of the ROG Phone 5. Therefore, we could see more news of this upcoming gaming device soon, or maybe not if ASUS dropped the project.
