So apparently, ASUS has launched a new Zenfone V (V520KL) and it's not pronounced as 5 but just "vee". This is a telco-exclusive smartphone in the USA by Verizon, ironically, the new smartphone is listed on ASUS' official website with no price nor availability, even Verizon got nothing on that. [Update: It will be going for $384 (~RM1609)]. Anyway, the smartphone itself is packing some nicely decent tech-specs. Check it out below.

  • Qualcomm Quad-Core Processor Snapdragon 820, 2.2Ghz, Adreno 530
  • 4GB RAM LPDDR4
  • 32GB eMMC (expandable memory up to 256GB)
  • Measures 146.5 x 72.6 x 7.6mm, weighs 147g
  • 5.2-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display
  • 23MP main camera (F/2.0, 4-axis Optical Image Stabilization) | 8MP front camera (F/2.0)
  • Features Fingerprint Scanner, DTS Headphone:X for virtual 7.1 surround sound, Single Nano SIM card, USB Type-C 3.0
  • Supports LTE, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2
  • ZenUI 3.0 Android 7.0
  • 3000mAh battery

In terms of features, there isn't really much to look at because it has all the standard ones. Good processor, good camera and so on. We don't think this device will come into Malaysia as well but anything can happen should ASUS Malaysia Mobile decided to bring that in as a semi high-end device.
