For those not in the know, Intel Xeon processors are designed for servers while NVIDIA Quadro graphic cards are those used to make 3D animations and movies. Looking to push the boundaries, ASUS have stuck both of those in their ASUS ProArt StudioBook Pro X and ProArt StudioBook One laptops. Quite obviously, these go beyond even gaming laptops and are designed for the data scientist, 3D animator or 8K video renderer.
Looking further into the tech specs, the ProArt StudioBook One is the world’s first laptop to offer NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 graphics with an Intel Core i9-9980HK processor, 32GB of RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD. Complementing these is a 15.6-inch 4K UHD display with 120Hz that supports Adobe RGB and is certified by Pantone along with 3x USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports.
The ProArt StudioBook Pro X offers up to the aforementioned Intel Xeon E-2276M processor and an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 graphics card but includes an ASUS Screenpad 2.0 colour touchscreen that replaces the trackpad. It has a slightly larger 17-inch display with 16:10 aspect ratio.
There are still no Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet for either ASUS ProArt StudioBook laptop but we expect these to be in the same price range as a small Malaysian car (about RM30K or so) if not higher. We’ll keep watch and let you know as soon as we find out, so stay tuned to TechNave.com.
