Can't decide if you prefer higher resolutions or faster refresh rates? In that case, ASUS' upcoming gaming monitor could be what you need. CES 2024 is a few weeks away, but ASUS is already teasing new products for the event. One is the ROG Swift PG32UCDP OLED - a dual-mode gaming monitor.

The ROG Swift PG32UCDP OLED will be the world's first dual-mode gaming monitor. Sounds fancy, but what that means is that it can support two different video resolutions at different refresh rates. Gamers can either enjoy games at 4K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate or dial down the refresh rate to Full HD and bump up the refresh rate to 480Hz.

That could be useful if you want to enjoy a variety of game genres. Case in point, you could enjoy shooters like Counter-Strike 2 with ultra-smooth visuals. When you are tired of the fast-paced action, you could switch to the 4K mode to enjoy the high-end visuals in open-world titles like Cyberpunk 2077.

Besides that, there are a few details we can discern. We already know it has a max resolution of 4K (3840x2160 pixels) and a max refresh rate of 240Hz. But the name ROG Swift PG32UCDP OLED tells us it's a 32-inch OLED monitor. We also see super-thin bezels and a tri-feet stand containing red (maybe RGB) LEDs from the teaser video.

No local price yet, and we probably won't see it show up in Malaysia anytime soon. But maybe ASUS Malaysia will drop us some info soon, so stay tuned to TechNave for more updates!
