Apart from announcing new laptops, Acer also announced their latest mid-range smartphone called the Acer Liquid Zest Plus. The big draw to this device is the inclusion of a 5000mAh battery inside. Yes, this is the phone to choose for a whole day outing with your friends.
It comes with a 5.5inch display, and a 13 megapixel rear camera. At the announcement, Acer did not share what processor the Liquid Zest Plus will be using, but with an expected price point of around USD 250 (around RM 975), we predict that it could be a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon or Mediatek Helios. We also foresee that the Liquid Zest Plus will come with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory storage, with a possible microSD expansion slot.
Another outstanding feature is the new autofocus system that Acer will be putting into the Liquid Zest Plus. Called ‘tri-focus’, it will use laser, phase and contrast detection to achieve autofocus lock when taking images. We will just have to wait and see if the system works as advertised. Also from the photo, we may see a high megapixel front camera to accompany the 13 megapixel shooter. Stay tuned for more news on the Liquid Zest Plus, right here at Technave.
