Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop revealed with 8th Generation Intel Core i7 / i7+ processors, Dolby Atmos speakers and more

Today, Acer has unveiled a new gaming laptop for the casual gamers called the Nitro 5. Coming in 15.6-inch, it is powered by up to the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i7 and Intel Core i7+ processors, providing the best gaming performance possible for the gamers. It is not launched in Malaysia yet, though, but for now here's what we know about the features and tech-specs.

Coming in two variants with the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i7 and Intel Core i7+ processors, it has an improved six-core design with an Intel Optane memory to help the loading speed. For graphics, you have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti on board, alongside with a huge space of 512GB of NVMe PCIe solid-state storage and a 32GB of DDR4 RAM which is said to draw 20% less power than DDR3 RAM.

On the features side, Acer's own NitroSense is a feature that monitors the CPU / GPU status, while the CoolBoost technology can detect and adjust the fans inside for optimal performance for the Full HD IPS display. There's even a pre-installed program called Mixer, which allows gamers to broadcast games live from the game bar on Windows 10 simply by pressing the Windows key plus G.

Other than that, the laptop also supports Dolby Audio Premium and TrueHarmony technology for an immersive surround sound from gaming. For connectivity, there's an Intel Wireless-AC 9560 2x2 802.11ac wireless which offers Gigabit performance that enhances gaming, streaming, and conferencing experiences. A plethora of ports including hyper-fast USB Type-C, HDMI 2.0, and Gigabit Ethernet are included as well.
