Acer has announced during the next@acer event that they will be releasing two Helios series laptops namely the Helios 300 White and Gold edition as well as the Helios 500 gaming laptop. The Helios 300 White and Gold edition ditches the traditional black and red colour scheme, in favour of the more striking White colour with Gold outline. Other than that, the tech specs of the laptop includes an 8th Generation Intel Core i7+ Processor along with an Nvidia GTX 1060 as well as a 144Hz monitor built into the laptop.
On the other hand, the Helios 500 still retains the same black and red colour scheme but internally it is fitted with an 8th Generation Intel Core i9+ 8950HK processor, Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB graphics card and a 144Hz monitor similar to that of the Helios 300 White and Gold edition. It is best to note that the ‘+’ symbol refers to the integration of the Optane memory which improves load times and increases responsiveness of the desktop.
