After nearly five months, Acer Malaysia has finally launched the latest Predator gaming laptop lineup in the Malaysian market. There are three of them which we have reported before - the Predator Triton 500 SE, Predator Helio 500 and the Predator Helio 300 with the latest Intel processors.
As a refresher, the Predator Triton 500 SE is equipped with up to 11th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. The memory configuration is also a powerhouse, housing up to 32GB DDR4 RAM and 1TB PCIe SSD (Gen 4) of storage. The WQXGA display is huge as well, measuring at 16-inches with a 16:10 aspect ratio and an 87% screen-to-body ratio. It has up to 12-hours of battery life.
In addition, Intel Killer E3100 Ethernet Controller, Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i, and Killer Intelligence Center are on board to give the lowest latency possible. You can even find a Thunderbolt 4, DisplayPort, with an SD 7.0 card reader as well. Next up, the Predator Helio 500 is powered by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 and up to 11th Gen Intel Core i9-11980HK processor. This gaming laptop packs an even higher memory capacity with up to 64GB DDR4 RAM and up to dual 1TB PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSD storage in RAID0 configuration. For the 17-inch display, there are two variants which are a 4K Mini LED UHD 120Hz panel (i9) and an FHD 360Hz panel (i7).
Like the SE model, it has the same ports and 'Killer' feature connections. The Predator Helio 500 is priced from RM13,999 and pre-orders begin on 30 October 2021 at Acer eStore, Acer Flagship Store on Shopee and Authorized Predator Partners.
Finally, the Predator Helios 300 is now refreshed with up to 11th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070. You can either get the 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch model with both having the same 165Hz QHD IPS display with 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut or 360Hz FHD IPS display with 100% sRGB colour gamut feature. The memory is sporting 32GB DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD with an additional HDD slot and one M.2 slot that supports dual PCIe NVMe SSD in RAID0 configuration.
In terms of price, the 17-inch variant retails from RM7,999, while the 15-inch variant retails from RM6,299. Starting from 30 September until 6 October 2021, any purchase of the refreshed Predator Helios 300 will be entitled to freebies worth more than RM1,000. This includes the Predator Gaming Utility Backpack, Predator Galea 350 Headset and limited edition merchandise. Gamers who purchase the Intel Core i9 variant will be entitled to an additional Predator Gaming Chair worth RM1,299.
