Acer Malaysia launched several new products for our local market today, including new thin and light laptops in the Swift series. Comprising the Acer Swift 14 and Acer Swift Go 14, read on to find out more about both lineups.
First up, the Swift 14 is aimed at highly-mobile professionals and is an evolution of Acer’s iconic Swift 5. The laptop boasts an aerospace-grade aluminium unibody chassis crafted with CNC machining. This process allows for the 1.2kg weight and makes it both visually striking and incredibly easy to carry on the go.
Within its 14.95mm thin chassis, Swift 14 packs up to 13th Gen Intel Core i7 H-series processor with Intel Iris Xe Graphics. Intel Evo-verified, Acer claims that the Swift 14 can offer more than 10 hours of battery life.
With the “always on” feature, the laptop comes with the latest connectivity features such as the versatile Thunderbolt 4 and WiFi 6E. Besides that, there are options for either 8 or 16GB of onboard LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB SSD storage.
In terms of display, the Swift 14 delivers stunning visual clarity with its 14-inch WQXGA (2560x1600) IPS display. It is also protected by the durable Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass that provides scratch resistance and prevents the growth of stain and odour-causing bacteria.
Moving toward the Swift Go 14, the laptop is designed for young adults who prefer to work or study on the go. Coming in a sleek 14.9 mm aluminium chassis, the laptop weighs just 1.25kg with Acer claiming up to 13 hours of battery life.
As for the display, the Swift Go 14 sports a 14-inch FHD IPS display featuring a 90% screen-to-body ratio with ultra-slim side bezels measuring just 4.15mm. Under the hood, the laptop is equipped with up to AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor, up to 16 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB SSD.
Despite its ultra-thin design, the Swift Go 14 is still able to offer a full-fledged selection of ports. These include USB Type-C, HDMI 2.1 and a MicroSD card reader.
Both Acer Swift 14 and Swift Go comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office 2021 Home and Student editions. Available by end of April 2023 at Acer eStore and Acer official stores on Shopee and Lazada, the Swift 14 starts at RM4299 while the Swift Go 14 starts at RM3199.
