If you have a child who needs a simple computer to do work on the go – but is afraid to hand over a laptop due to worries of destruction, Acer may have something up their sleeves. Recently announced at CES2017, the Acer Chromebook 11 N7 is a rugged Chromebook designed for rough and tumble use over the schooling year.
The new Chromebook announced at CES features military-grade durability, with the ability to withstand more than 132 pounds of force with an extra strong case and hinge to help avoid damage. It is not waterproof – however it can drain up to 11 fluid ounces of liquid away from critical components, and most of the seams are quite secure to reduce any liquid ingestion. The 1366 x 768 pixel screen is not going to win awards, but it is rugged enough for daily use. It comes with two USB 3.0 ports, a HDMI port, SD Card reader, and 4GB of RAM.

What makes this device special is that you can also run Android apps on the Crhomebook, so you can have your fav apps within reach. For parents who wants to get one, it will be retailing at USD 230 (or about RM 1034). No news as of yet if Malaysia will be getting this, so stay tuned to TechNave for more news about the Acer Chromebook 11 N7.
