We're closing in on the end of 2020 and Acer is looking to finish up with a bang. The company announced a slew of new devices earlier today, such as laptops and monitors. Among them are two new gaming-centric products for the Predator gaming series, as well as a monitor for productivity.

Firstly, there's the Predator Orion 3000, the smallest brother of the Predator Orion series. It comes packed with a 10th Gen Intel Core i5 or Core i7 CPU, as well as an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER or RTX 2060 SUPER GPU, and 8GB of RAM. Those who need more RAM for tasks like video rendering can plug more into the available DIMM slots for a total of up to 64GB. Moreover, it offers some future upgradability via expansion slots.

As for features, this gaming desktop has the Stable Killer E2600 Gigabit LAN port for high-speed connectivity and Intel Wi-Fi 6 for low wireless latency. The chassis also comes with dual custom-engineered FrostBlade fans for optimal thermal performance. Other than that, it comes with RGB lightings and an EMI-compliant tempered glass side panel.

Next is the Predator XB273U GX gaming monitor. The first one has a 27-inch WQHD (2560 x 1440 resolution) Agile-Splendor IPS panel, capable of delivering a refresh rate of up 270Hz. It also response time as low as 0.5ms, covers 99% of the AdobeRGB colour gamut, and has a max brightness of 400nits. On top of that, the monitor has height, swivel, and tilt adjustments, making it very ergonomic for users.

Finally, there's the Acer CB342CK C monitor, which uses a 34-inch UltraWide QHD (3440 x 1440 resolution) IPS panel that covers 99% of the sRGB colour gamut, as well as 6-axis colour adjustment for extra fine-tuning of the display's colours. It also has features like BlueLight Shield and Acer Flicker-less to help reduce eye strain. Interestingly enough, both monitors come with a USB Type-C port with power delivery and can support fast-charging of up to 65W.

Personally, the Acer CB342CK C is the monitor I'd choose, as it can be great for work and games will still look good on it. But which new product would you be more interested in? Do let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news like this.
