Acer has a wide variety of products over the years and they recently just unveiled a new lineup. Designed to go "green", the company is calling it the Vero series and has come up with a new Aspire Vero and TravelMate Vero for consumers and commercial usage respectively (and many more too). Any difference from the original lineup? Read on below to find out more.

I guess we can start with the Aspire Vero. As an environmentally friendly laptop, its chassis is composed of 30% PCR plastic, cutting CO2 emissions by 21% for the production of that part. The keycaps also contain 50% PCR plastic, and the recyclable packaging can be repurposed as a DIY laptop stand. This laptop's 15.6-inch FHD IPS display is also 99% recyclable.

In terms of tech specs, the Aspire Vero is powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors and Intel Iris Xe Graphics. There is also a new VeroSense software integrated that gives users the option of selecting a usage mode that has been optimized for energy efficiency and battery life. To add on, you can also find WiFi 6, USB-C and USB-A ports around the laptop.

Next, the TravelMate Vero is another eco-friendly business laptop powered by up to an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB of DDR4 memory and 1 TB SSD storage. For security purposes, Acer pre-installed a discrete TPM and a Kensington lock slot for protection for important data. An Acer ProShield Plus is another security solution that has encryption and decryption, plus the biometric authentication measures built into Windows 11 Pro. As a Vero, it features 30% PCR plastic throughout its chassis and ships in 100% recyclable packaging.

Besides that, there is an Acer Veriton Vero Mini which is an eco-friendly mini PC. Consisting of 25% PCR plastic and ships in a 100% recyclable box, it features an Intel Core vPro processor and comes with a set of management tools like Acer Office Manager and Control Centre for the IT staff. Users can also take advantage of Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) or Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) in addition to an array of USB and display ports, including a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port.

Acer also introduced a sustainable FHD monitor called the Vero BR277. Made from more than 50% PCR plastic, it has earned a green certification from Energy Star, TCO and EPEAT as well as Acer software features like VisionCare, ComfyView and BlueLightShield. The monitor ships in 100% recyclable packaging.

While there is no official local pricing yet for Malaysia, the new Acer Vero products already have USD, Europe and Chinese Yuan price tags. You can check them out below:
