Acer launches new Chromebook 15, Swift 5, Spin 5 & Switch 7 Black Edition

Acer recently revealed a bunch of new gadgets at the IFA 2017, Germany and once again they have updated the Chromebook, Switch, Spin, and Swift line up with new editions - the Chromebook 15, Switch 7 Black Edition, Spin 5 and Switch 5. Here's a breakdown of what each device is offering.

The Chromebook 15 features the latest dual-core Intel Celeron and quad-core Intel Pentium processors. Models in the line will be available with 32 GB or 64 GB of eMMC storage as well as 4GB or 8GB of RAM, 15.6-inch FHD IPS display, Intel Wireless-AC (802.11ac) wireless featuring 2x2 MIMO technology, an HDMI port, and measures 378 W x 256 D x 18.9 H mm, 1.72kg making it thinner and lighter than previous generations.is just simply designed with a new aluminium body with respectable battery life up to 12 hours for entertainment purposes such as movies, apps, games and websites.

As for the rest of the three tablets, they all incorporate the new 8th Generation Intel Core processors and a more secure biometric technology supporting Windows Hello. As how Peter Han, Vice President, Partner Devices and Solutions, Microsoft Corp. puts it, they are a new generation of "light, sleek and powerful" notebooks for anyone using their PC for productivity or entertainment, at home, in the office, or on the road.

The Switch 7 Black Edition is the world’s first fanless 2-in-1 notebook equipped dual LiquidLoop fanless cooling technology, as well as the first to feature Acer AutoStand, which is a patented kickstand that can be auto-deployed and auto-retracted. The 13.5-inch IPS (2256 x 1504 resolution) also has a NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics.

For those who want superb portability, the Swift 5 is perfect for as it weighs less than 1 kg making it ideal for people always on the go. The battery life can last up to 8 hours, providing an interactive multi-touch Full HD IPS2 touchscreen.

The Spin 5 is also lightweight, portable, and enclosed in a head-turning metal casing. Easy to carry around, the 13-inch model of the Spin 5 weighs in at 1.5 kg and measures in at 15.9 mm thin, while its 15-inch sibling is just over 2 kg in weight and 17.9 mm thin. Its memory capacity is up to 16GB of DDR4 memory and the 15-inch model even carries a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics option
