Model showcasing the new Acer Switch Alpha 12
Today, Acer has revealed their latest product lineup for Malaysia - introducing the first fanless 2-in-1 Acer LiquidLoop cooling technology, the Acer Switch Alpha 12, and it will be available in Malaysia by next week (latest) for RM2499 as a starting price with two other variants (more details below). There are also other exciting products as well - the Acer Aspire S 13, Aspire R 15, Aspire E & F Series and Acer R1 Series (more on those later in the next article later on), but for now, let's take a look at the fanless laptop.

First unveiled in New York about a month ago, it may look like a regular laptop at first glance but as the world's first Liquid-Cooled 2-in-1 ultra-slim and convertible laptop, it allows it to be silent and operate with efficient performance and stability all-day for 8 hours straight.

How the technology works is that there's a heat-driven coolant circulation installed inside, using a cycling force of keeping the device cool by keeping the liquid in a sealed loop absorbing the processor heat; thus becoming gas moving away from the processor, cooling down and re-liquefies repeating the process. With this, this also means the laptop won't be collecting dust inside since there's no fan, and providing better thermal and system performance.

Other key features include an ultra-thin detachable keyboard, a versatile design with multi-position kickstand and an Active Pen offering flexibility.
