Acer unveils the 24V2 and 24I2 Chromebases to help increase workplace productivity

Acer launched their two new Chromebases yesterday in Amsterdam, the Chromebase 24V2 for flawless e-meetings that can have up to 100 callers with G Suite Enterprise, and the Chromebase 24I2, which is an all-in-one device that can do multiple things.

The Chromebase 24V2 features an all-in-one touchscreen video conferencing system for meetings held in small to medium sized areas. The device sports a 24 inch FHD touch display which is adjustable with 250 nits of brightness. It features a 5MP wide angle webcam, dual mics and two stereo speakers. Tech specs wise, it has an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8550U processor, 4GB DDR4 RAM and a 32GB SSD.

Its primary goal is to provide an e-meeting experience for a large number of individuals, almost like they are in the same space. Meeting calls can be scheduled with Gmail and Google Calendar. Those without a Gmail account will still be able to join in calls simply by clicking a shareable link. The Chromebase 24V2 can support upto 25 callers in Google Hangouts Meet, 50 callers through Google’s G Suite Business and 100 callers with G Suite Enterprise.

The Chromebase 24i2

Meanwhile, the Acer Chromebase 24I2 is powered by the Chrome OS which allows to do multiple roles in the office such as an individual desktop, in-store kiosks, shared workstation and more. It has tech specs of 8GB DDR44 RAM, 128GB SSD and an 8th Gen Intel Core Processor. It supports Google Play so users can utilise both Chrome Apps as well as Android Apps.

Both devices come with a FHD 1920X1080 IPS narrow bezel touch display with anti glare which is capable of tilting between -5 and 25 degrees. It can also save space as it is able to be mounted onto walls. Connectivity-wise, the devices both are equipped with a USB 3.1 Type-C connector, 4 USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, HDMI, SD card reader and a RJ45 ports.

Besides that, Acer Cloud Technology has just launched the Being Device Management platform which helps businesses remotely manage and control devices through a centralized management portal.
