Google has been adding new features to its online platforms overtime. The one feature that would be useful for many is probably add-ons and it's about to be added to Google Workspace. Yesterday, Google confirmed that Docs, Sheets, and Slides will be getting an update that enables add-ons.

As usual, this is available only to individuals and organisations that use Google Workspace. You should be able to see a side panel where add-ons you've installed can be found. For example, Google showed how you can use Google Translate to translate the text in a Google Docs file to another language.

Besides that, Google mentioned that organisations can create their own App Scripts or alternative runtimes. In other words, you can get programmers to help you automate certain tasks or workloads that may be unique to your company. The new feature should be fully rolled out in two weeks.
