Great news for mobile photography fans. Adobe just released an update for Lightroom, which now supports RAW files straight from a camera or the camera app on Android.

Lightroom version 2.2 brings the option to connect a camera directly to the Android device with a USB OTG (on-the-go) cable, select the desired photos and import them directly into the Android application. Afterwhich, the imported images can be synced online or with your other devices. This gives mobile photographers more room to play around with their images after taking them in RAW format.

We like the functionality and versatility of Lightroom and its support for RAW file format for images. This means your smartphone can be a mobile image workstation, without the need to wait for the PC back home. The app is free to download from the Play Store, which is accesible here.
