According to this new report, Adobe is preparing to launch a web version of Photoshop, and most importantly, it's free to use. The company has already started the testing phase, and it should roll out to more users in the near future.

It is not the first time we heard about a web version of Photoshop. In fact, Adobe already launched one back in October 2021. However, the previous platform could only handle basic edits such as Layers and core editing tools, and it wasn't similar to the app. With this new version, users will get a much closer experience to the original Photoshop without paying any fee.

Currently, users in Canada already have access to the service. It only requires an Adobe account, and the registration is free. Of course, there are still some features that users might have to pay for before using, so Adobe can earn something from there. However, those free features are said to be enough for most users. "We want to make [Photoshop] more accessible and easier for more people to try it out and experience the product," says Maria Yap, Adobe's VP of digital imaging.
