If you were wondering why POCO released the M2 Pro without a standard variant coming with it, your doubt will now be cleared. After dropping the POCO M2 Pro back in July, the brand is now going to launch the vanilla POCO M2 on 8 September, which is the date before the POCO X3 NFC makes its global debut.

According to a promo page set up by India's Flipkart, the smartphone will come with a big screen and a big battery. However, the site didn't mention how 'big' will they be. The promo image has also revealed a waterdrop notch to house the selfie camera on the screen. Other than that, the brand has promised that the device is able to capture "epic HD photos" as well.

The POCO M2 Pro was launched with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 720G chipset and sports a 6.67-inch FHD panel. It also packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast-charging. For now, it is unsure if the POCO M2 will have overall lower tech specs than the Pro variant as not much information has been announced.
