If you're a homeowner, you should have received a new email from Air Selangor over the weekend about an upcoming Air Selangor 2.0 app and website. The news from the official website didn't really say much, but here is all the information from the email that you should know about it.
Re-registration Required for All Users
According to Air Selangor, the Air Selangor 2.0 app and website promise a smoother and more user-centric digital experience for its customers. The platform introduces a new streamlined registration process and smart features, including an insightful water usage tracking tool.

Users of the previous Air Selangor mobile app and portal are required to re-register on the new Air Selangor 2.0 app and website. This includes submitting identification details such as MyKad, company registration number, passport number, or relevant government service ID.
Automatic migration from the old system has been intentionally avoided because the company wants to maintain data security and avoid potential compatibility issues. Therefore, the re-registration is essential to verify credentials, enhance security, and ensure the accuracy of user data during the transition.

Billing History and Account Transfers
With that, previous billing records and water account information will not be automatically carried over to the new app. However, users can easily transfer their water accounts through a manual process:
- For account holders: The app can auto-detect the user’s registered water account once the holder confirms their identity.
- For non-account holders: Users must input their water account number and display name manually.
To avoid delays, users are reminded to note down their water account number before making the switch.
New Feature: LCD (Litres per Capita per Day) Tracker

One of the key highlights of the revamped app is the introduction of the LCD (Litres per Capita per Day) feature. This feature enables users to monitor their household’s daily water usage more effectively. By offering a visual representation of consumption trends, the LCD tool can help users to make smarter decisions and adopt more efficient water usage habits.
When Will the Current Air Selangor App End?
Unfortunately, the details in the email did not mention when the current Air Selangor app phase-out will take place in favour of the 2.0 version. We think it's best to just make the transition as soon as possible, in time to pay your water bills in August 2025. The Air Selangor 2.0 app can be downloaded on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei AppGallery, and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
