Alienware has expanded its gaming laptop line by presenting the new X-series that comes in two models, x15 and x17. Not only support 4K gaming with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPUs, but the new X-series also come with 11th Gen Intel Core H-series mobile processors to unlock high-performance in ultra-thin forms.

The Alienware X-series has been crowned to be the thinnest among other Alienware laptops. For the x15, it's only 16.3mm with an FHD 165Hz panel, or 15.9mm with FHD 360Hz or QHD 240Hz panels. Meanwhile, the x17 is measured 20.9mm with an FHD 360Hz panel, or 21.4mm with UHD 120Hz or FHD 165Hz panels. The display also supports features like DirectX Raytracing, NVIDIA G-SYNC, Advanced Optimus technology, ComfortView Plus, and more depending on the configurations.

Other than that, the laptops also offer customizable options including 11th gen Intel Core i7 and i9K processors with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. For thermal performance, the X-series comes with Element 31 which is a cooling solution that uses thermal interface material (TIM) concocted from Encapsulated Gallium-Silicone liquid metal compound. The said material is placed between the CPU and other thermal elements to disperse heat at a higher rate. It is claimed that the laptops deliver up to a 25% improvement in thermal resistance over the previous generation.

Coming to the design, the laptops are absolutely stunning at first look. The X-series features Alienware Legend 2.0 design identity with Dark Core that was first appeared on the recently announced Alienware m15 R5/R6 gaming laptops. The vents are designed to be in hexagons for a nicer appearance with maximising thermal benefits in mind as well. Other than that, users might also fall heads over heel for the continuous loop of bold stadium lighting on the rear. The Alienware x15 and x17 will be available in two colour options - Dark Side of Moon (Black) and Lunar Light (White).

For the price, it is still unknown at the moment but we will keep an eye on any updates and report it to you. Let us know what you think about the new Alienware X-series laptops on our Facebook page. Stay tuned to TechNave.com for more laptop launches.
