New laptops are a staple at CES every year, so it's not surprising to see a whole bunch of them appearing earlier today. A lot of these are gaming laptops, as companies finally unveil their new models packed with the latest hardware. Alienware is the same with a hardware refresh for the m15 and m17 R4 gaming laptops.

As many of you already know, Nvidia launched its new GeForce RTX 3000 series GPUs last year. Now, these GPUs are being equipped on gaming laptops, greatly boosting the graphics performance of the new models. Funny enough, Alienware didn't specify which GPUs would be available for the Alienware m15 and m17 R4. This means that there should be multiple configurations for the two models. We're expecting the RTX 3060, RTX 3070, and RTX 3080 to all be available options.

Some of the other components will be getting an upgrade too. While the CPU for both models will still be 10th Gen Intel Core CPUs, you can now get up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM at 2999MHz (previously 2666MHz) and up to 4TB of SSD storage (previously 1.5TB). On top of that, customers can opt for a display with a whopping 360Hz max refresh rate.

Dell has announced that both of the refresh models will be available in Malaysia in January 2021, for a starting price of RM10999 and RM107999 respectively.
