Google has announced a new perk for Google One users, whereby they will be getting free access to its VPN service regardless of their subscription tier. Previously, VPN by Google One is only available for higher tiers of the subscription plan.

In a blog post, Google One Director of Product Management, Esteban Kozak announced that all Google One users across Android, iOS, Windows and Mac devices can use the VPN service. Moreover, you can also share the VPN with up to 5 others if they’re on your Google One plan.

Google further clarified that the VPN service is available to Google One users from 22 countries and unfortunately, Malaysia is not on the list. The list of countries is as per below:

  • Austria
  • Australia
  • Belgium
  • Canada
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Iceland
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Mexico
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • South Korea
  • Spain
  • Sweden

Moreover, if you have VPN by Google One turned on and your country or region is listed, VPN by Google One still works even when you travel overseas. Besides that, Google also announced that Google One users in the United States are also getting the ability to monitor their personal info on the dark web.
