The Public Service Department (JPA) has announced that all civil servants in Malaysia are required to register and update their information on the Central Database Hub (PADU) system by 15 February. This is according to a circular by the department dated 17 January that was uploaded to its Facebook page.

In the circular, JPA stressed the importance of registering with PADU, one of which being that it was to ensure that eligible individuals do not miss out on targeted subsidies, assistance and social protection. The circular was addressed to all secretaries-general of ministries, heads of federal departments, state secretaries and heads of statutory bodies at the federal, state and local government levels regarding the matter.

The document, signed by Public Service director-general Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz further asserted that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had urged civil servants to update their information and data on PADU as soon as possible. Anwar said the matter during the National Economic Action Council (MTEN) meeting on 14 January.

JPA thus urged for cooperation and commitment of all quarters to ensure the success of PADU. Therefore, if you’re a civil servant, do take note of the circular.
