Valve has recently made an announcement that all classic Half-Life games, will be available for free on Steam from now until around March of 2020. Based on what we know so far, the end the promo should be around the same day as the official launch of Half-Life: Alyx.
The free games include title such as Half-Life, Half-Life 2 as well as episode one and two, Half-Life: Opposing Force, Blue Shirt as well as Team Fortress Classic. Do note that the games will disappear from your library as soon as Alyx is released, so be sure to use this opportunity to catch up on the story.
To the uninitiated, Half-Life: Alyx is a VR first-person shooter which take place in a universe where the earth is being occupied by the alien Combine.
