Based on a statement by ITHome.com, it seems that Xiaomi recently filed a patent hinting that they could be developing a smartphone that’s equipped with an almost 100% screen-to-body ratio. While not much is known in regards to the Malaysia release date, it does give us a better idea of what to expect from Xiaomi in the near future.

To go into more detail, our source mentioned that the device will come with two display areas along with a hinge with a camera module embedded inside of it. With that in mind, we can expect the device in question to come equipped with a foldable display, similar to those that are being used by Samsung.

That all being said, do take some of the information with a grain of salt, due to the fact that Xiaomi has yet to provide an official statement on the leak. Not only that but there’s also no news on the local pricing and exact tech specs of the smartphone for now.
