Almost a year after its rebrand, Twitter officially moves its domain to X.com

Almost a year after its rebrand by new owner Elon Musk, social media platform Twitter has now officially adopted the X.com domain for all its core systems. Announced by Musk on the platform, this means that typing twitter.com on your browser will redirect to X.com instead.

Furthermore, a message will appear at the bottom of the X login page that tells users about the URL change. However, X assures that privacy and data protection settings remain the same despite the change of domain.

When Musk first announced the change to the X branding last year, the Twitter URL was still being used. Now, the URL will only redirect you to X.com, with nothing much about the current web and app UI changing.
